Job Summary

The People and Operations Fellow will play a key role in supporting Policy Vault’s operational processes and fostering an employee-centric environment. This role involves assisting with administrative tasks, managing the employee lifecycle, and contributing to process improvements that enhance organizational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative support for day-to-day operations across various departments.

  • Assist with onboarding and offboarding processes for staff and fellows, ensuring smooth transitions.

  • Manage internal calendars and coordinate meetings, including scheduling, agendas, and documentation.

  • Support recruitment efforts by coordinating interviews and maintaining candidate records.

  • Help improve operational workflows by identifying inefficiencies and recommending solutions.

  • Maintain accurate records of employee data and operations-related documentation.

  • Coordinate logistics for organizational events such as training sessions or retreats.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support strategic initiatives related to people operations.

  • Monitor compliance with organizational policies and procedures.

  • Prepare reports on operational metrics and employee engagement activities.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • A bachelor’s degree in business administration, human resources management, or a related field.

  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Proficiency in using office productivity tools (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite or Google Workspace).

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively while meeting deadlines.

  • Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to addressing challenges.

  • Familiarity with African operational landscapes or interest in people operations is preferred.

Eligibility

This fellowship is ideal for:

  • Graduates with no more than three years of experience.

  • Current students pursuing advanced degree programs (e.g., master’s or doctoral studies).

  • Professionals on sabbatical looking to apply their expertise in operations or people management.

Fellowship Details

  • Duration: Six months

  • Compensation: A monthly stipend of NGN 350,000

  • Opportunity for Conversion: Exceptional performance during the fellowship may lead to a full-time role at Policy Vault.

  • Work Location: Abuja, Nigeria, with flexible working arrangements available.
