The focus areas of the policy include treatment, care and support, prevention, response to HIV and AIDS, protection of vulnerable groups, and capacity development.

This Act to outlines the necessary provision for the prevention and management of HIV and AIDS; the protection of the rights and obligations of persons living with HIV or affected by HIV and AIDS; the establishment of the National AIDS Commission; and to provide for other related matters.

The goal of this policy is to reduce the morbidity, mortality and transmission of tuberculosis in Malawi in line with the vision of a tuberculosis free Malawi. The manual covers tuberculosis diagnosis, control methods, monitoring, and health promotion.

This Act amend and consolidate the law regarding the preservation of public health in Malawi. The Act covers the prevention of infectious diseases, provisions for epidemic, sanitation and housing, venereal diseases, water, and food supplies.

These guidelines outline the required standards and process for HIV testing and counselling for infants and children. Key principles of the guidelines include right to testing and care, consent for HIV testing, right to age-appropriate HIV counselling, disclosure of HIV status to children, right to confidentiality, and sensitization and training.

The main objective of the policy is to prevent the spread of HIV infection among Malawians by proving access to the treatment of PLHA and mitigate the health, socio-economic and psychosocial impacts of HIV/AIDS on individuals and households. Main areas of the policy include prevention, behavioural change, treatment, capacity building, research and development, resource mobilization and program implementation.

This is an Act to promote gender equality, equal integration, influence, empowerment, dignity, and opportunities, for men and women and to prohibit and provide redress for sex discrimination, harmful practices, and sexual harassment, and for other related matters.
