These guidelines aim to help management and staff in health facilities in Malawi to minimize the risk of TB transmission in health care facilities and other facilities by providing better understanding and awareness in TB transmission in health care facilities, infection prevention and control procedures, and protection of health care workers and staff through HIV testing and counselling.

The goal of this policy is to reduce the morbidity, mortality and transmission of tuberculosis in Malawi in line with the vision of a tuberculosis free Malawi. The manual covers tuberculosis diagnosis, control methods, monitoring, and health promotion.

This Act amend and consolidate the law regarding the preservation of public health in Malawi. The Act covers the prevention of infectious diseases, provisions for epidemic, sanitation and housing, venereal diseases, water, and food supplies.

These guidelines outline the required standards and process for HIV testing and counselling for infants and children. Key principles of the guidelines include right to testing and care, consent for HIV testing, right to age-appropriate HIV counselling, disclosure of HIV status to children, right to confidentiality, and sensitization and training.

This programme aims at preventing HIV infectuion and providing health care to patients suffering from AIDS and to seropositive individuals.

The main objective of the policy is to prevent the spread of HIV infection among Malawians by proving access to the treatment of PLHA and mitigate the health, socio-economic and psychosocial impacts of HIV/AIDS on individuals and households. Main areas of the policy include prevention, behavioural change, treatment, capacity building, research and development, resource mobilization and program implementation.

The CNCS was created in 2000 by Ministerial Decree (10/2000 of 23 May 2000). The Decree also created the respective Executive Secretariat as the executive body for coordinating the national response to HIV and AIDS.

The overarching goal of this policy is to improved infant and young child nutrition for survival, growth and development. The policy and guidelines include: Prevention and control of
micronutrient deficiencies; Infant and young child feeding
and HIV/AIDS; Management of moderately and severely malnourished children and mothers; and Feeding practices for children in the first 2 years of life and beyond.

This document is the national policy on sexual and reproductive health. The main theme of the policy includes family planning, maternal health, infertility, reproductive health, and domestic violence.

This National Strategic HIV / AIDS Response Plan, 2010-2014, is a government document outlining policies and strategies for combating of this epidemic, and which prioritizes the reinforcement of prevention, in all areas.

The policy highlights the government’s strategy to address the gap in sexual and reproductive health services in the country since 66 percent of the country’s population is under the age of 25 and therefore most vulnerable to sexually transmitted diseases. The strategy covers: access to information through health promotional activities, social and behavioural change, and adherence to health services standards.

This strategic plan has been developed to guide the national response to the HIV and AIDS epidemic as well as mobilize resources for effective implementation of interventions. This policy was designed to prevent the spread of HIV infection, promote access to treatment for PLHIV and to reduce the health, social-economic and psychosocial impact of HIV and AIDS. The focus areas of the policy include treatment, care and support, prevention, response to HIV and AIDS, protection of vulnerable groups, and capacity development.

This Act to outlines the necessary provision for the prevention and management of HIV and AIDS; the protection of the rights and obligations of persons living with HIV or affected by HIV and AIDS; the establishment of the National AIDS Commission; and to provide for other related matters.

This policy was designed to guide planning and implementation of nutrition interventions in the country. The main focus areas include research on nutrition, capacity building on nutrition, food and nutrition security at the national and local level, and the prevention of malnutrition in all age-groups of the population.

This Law establishes the rights and duties of people living with HIV and AIDS and guarantees the promotion of necessary measures for their prevention, protection and treatment. Likewise, it establishes the rights and duties of the worker or job seeker living with HIV and AIDS.

This resolution approves the Annual Contingency Plan 2021-2022.
