These regulations apply to the use of non-nutritive sweeteners in drug products that are manufactured, imported, exported, advertised, sold, distributed or used in Nigeria.

To address the increasing importance of climate change issues in Nigeria, the Federal Executive Council adopted in 2012 the Nigeria Climate Change Policy Response and Strategy. To ensure an effective national response to the significant and multi-faceted impacts of climate change, Nigeria has adopted a comprehensive strategy, as well as several specific policies. The strategic goal of the Nigeria climate change policy response and strategy is to foster low-carbon, high growth economic development and build a climate-resilient society through the attainment of the following strategies: promoting low carbon in energy consumption; enhancing national capacity to adapt to climate change; increasing public awareness; and involving private sector participation in addressing the challenges of climate change.

The overall goal of the national policy on infant and young child feeding in Nigeria is to ensure the optimal growth, protection and development of the Nigerian child from birth to the first five years of life. The objectives include protecting, promoting and supporting exclusive breastfeeding in the first six months of life, creating and sustaining a positive image for breastfeeding throughout the society, empowering all women (including women who work outside their homes) to adopt and practice optimal infant feeding, develop and promote and support adequate infant and young child feeding practices etc.

This act amends the Produce (enforcement of export standards) Act cap p32. laws of the Federation of Nigeria 2004 by reviewing the penalties imposed under the Act.

These regulations apply to all fortified foods manufactured, imported, exported, distributed, advertised, sold or used in Nigeria. The Nutrient Reference Values are covered in schedule II.

The regulations apply to all advertisements of food products, manufactured, imported distributed, sold or used in Nigeria.

This Act amends the water resources act cap W2 laws of the Federation of Nigeria 2004 to review upward the stipulated fines and penalties for offences under the act.

This is an act to establish the Hydroelectric Power Producing Areas Development Commission charged with the responsibility for managing the ecological menace’ to the operation of dams, and for related matters. The Commission established shall be a body corporate with perpetual succession and a common seal, and sue and be sued in its corporate name.

These regulations apply to all non-nutritive sweeteners listed in schedule 1 of this document. it states the general requirements for the use of non-nutritive sweeteners. it emphasizes that no person shall manufacture, import, export, advertise, sell, or present any food item or beverage containing a non-nutritive sweetener for human consumption, except as provided for in these regulations and no person shall sell a sweetener or food product containing a sweetener as an ingredient, other than a sweetener referred to in schedule I of these regulations.

These Regulations shall apply to the labelling of all pre-packaged food (including water and ice) to be offered as such to consumers. It emphasizes that no person shall manufacture, import, export, distribute, advertise, sell or use a pre-packaged food unless it is labelled under the provisions of these Regulations. Persons shall not manufacture, import, export, distribute, advertise, sell or use food whose expiry date has lapsed, and also make advertisement claims or professional association endorsement on a food product label unless authorized by the Agency.

These regulations shall apply to all labelling of drugs. Except as provided in these regulations, no person shall manufacture, import, export, distribute, advertise, display for sale or use any drug or drug product unless it is labelled per these regulations. It outlines labelling information, declaration of content of ingredients under composition, labelling of over-the-counter drugs and registration number assigned by the agency.

The goal of the National Policy on the Environment is to ensure environmental protection and the conservation of natural resources for sustainable development. To achieve this this goal, the strategies outlined in this document will be followed. It includes securing a quality of environment adequate for good health and well-being, promoting sustainable use of natural resources and the restoration and maintenance of the biological diversity of ecosystems, promoting an understanding of the essential linkages between the environment, social and economic development issues and raising public awareness and engendering a national culture of environmental preservation.
