This is an Act to make comprehensive provisions for the administration of prisons in Nigeria and other matters ancillary thereto. The subsidiary legislation under this Act includes Prisons (Appellants) Regulations, Prisons (Kafanchan Prison) Order, Prisons (Appropriation) Declaration, Appointment of Special Prison Camps Order, prisons Regulations, Kirikiri Prison Appropriation (Female prisoners) Order, and Honours (Prison Services) Warrant.
