The Regulatory Impact Statement was developed to assess the costs and benefits of any proposed regulation. It covers the required contents of a regulatory impact statement document which must include the effect of the proposed regulations on private sector & public sector, regulatory & non-regulatory options. It also states that a Regulatory Impact Statement should also point out the benefits and reasons other regulatory options are inappropriate.

The national nutrition action plan 2012-2017 (NNAP) is guided by the food and nutrition security policy (FNSP, 2012) and food and nutrition security strategy (FSNS, draft 2008). This is a parliamentary Act that provides for the notification and registration of births and deaths and other matters incidental. It provides for the change of name of child after registration, registration of deaths, issuance burial permit.

Kenya does not have a national occupational safety and health policy. This has led to uncoordinated implementation of occupational safety and health programmes and duplication of efforts in implementing such programmes. Therefore, this policy was designed with the main objective to establish national occupational safety and health systems and programmes geared towards the improvement of the work environment. The policy seeks to reduce the number of work-related accidents and diseases, and equitably provide compensation and rehabilitation to those injured at work or who contract occupational diseases

This is a parliamentary Act that makes provisions for granting pensions to widows and children of Asian officers who are appointed to the service of the government on or after the commencement of this Act. It establishes the Asian officers’ family pensions board to make rules regulating its own proceedings; to consider, and advise the president on, all questions arising on the interpretation of this act; to supervise and control all financial transactions; generally to do any other act or perform any other duty reasonably necessary for the carrying out of the provisions of this act.

This is a parliamentary Act that makes provision for granting pensions to widows and children of deceased Asian public officers. It provides for the lapsed pensions, pensions to children, pensions to adopted children, payment of pension in a case of desertion of a child etc.

This parliamentary Act gives effect to Article 35 of the constitution to confer on the commission on administrative justice the oversight and enforcement functions and powers and for connected purposes. It has an objective to provide a framework for public entities and private bodies to proactively disclose information that they hold and to provide information on request in line with the constitutional principles.

This is a parliamentary Act that provides for the registration and deposit of books and newspapers, for the printing of books and newspapers, for the execution of bonds by printers and publishers of newspapers, and for matters connected. It emphasizes that no person shall print any newspaper in Kenya, and no person shall publish any newspaper printed in the colony, unless there is in force, duly executed, registered and delivered by him to the registrar in the manner prescribed in this document.

This parliamentary Act that provides for the appointment of commissioners to inquire into and report on matters of a public nature referred to them by the president, to prescribe their powers, privileges and duties, and to provide for other matters connected. It defines the duties of the commissioners and power of commissioner to regulate proceedings.
