This document discusses marketing, its importance to the South African economy, and the nature extent to which the marketing of agricultural products. One of the most interesting recommendations discussed is that cooperative marketing should be developed as part of the broad institute building programme for the emerging farmer. Skills and assets acquisition should be identified as the core of the programme, other cooperative efforts in the financing, purchasing and production should also be encouraged as successful marketing rests on the type, quantity, quality and price of the product produced as explained in the trading strategy.

The regulations are directed towards the protection and conservation of threatened species, including marine plants and animals; as well as prohibiting specific restricted activities involving listed threatened or protected species. The regulations operate under the biodiversity act of 2004.

The norms and standards apply to species of rhinoceros that are listed as threatened or protected in the biodiversity act; they also apply, whether a hunt takes place on privately owned land or state land. The schedules under the norms and standards are to be read alongside the provisions contained in the threatened or protected species (TOPS) regulations.

The minister declares that the animals specified in section 2(a) of the animal identification act of 2002 are; cattle, sheep, goats, and pigs.

It is expressly stated that: “No person shall import wood packaging material which does not comply with the measures of the FAO, IPPC — ISPM No 15 guidelines for regulating wood packaging material in International Trade”.

This contains alterations to the Sectional Titles Act of 1986 in relation to sectional mortgage bonds, forms for certificates, and other scheduled documents specified under the act.

The amendment involves the insertion of regulations around the required form that reflects a veterinary professional’s continued professional development (CPD) activities for the prevailing three-year cycle.

The amended regulations operate under the plant breeders’ rights act of 1976. The table detailing fees payable with respect to plant breeders’ rights: 1 April 2015, is substituted.

The forest act relates to the tenure, demarcation, protection, management and utilization of forests; the combating and prevention of fires; the regulation and control of trading in and removal, exportation or importation of forest produce; provision for the establishment of a Forestry Council and a Forestry Industry Fund; and the imposition of levies in respect of timber and imported timber derivatives.

The notice amends the restitution of the Land Rights Act of 1994. It empowers the minister of land affairs to purchase, acquire, or expropriate lands to claimant for purpose of restitution.

The water act pushes for the control, preservation, and use of water resources in South Africa across domestic, agricultural, urban, and industrial purposes; usage of seawater; and for the control of activities that may affect natural environmental precipitation, and groundwater. It also outlines irrigation loans, liabilities, and subsidies, among others.

The measure is administered by the levy administrator as a means to fund identified crucial functions for sustained development of the sector. The Auditor-General is tasked with auditing the statutory measures. The beneficiaries of the levy will be determined by the red meat industry forum in accordance with their plans. The measure applies to designated animals; hides and skins; red meat and red meat products from designated animals; red meat and red meat products imported into the Republic of South Africa; processed red meat and pork; and designated animals exported live from the country.

The notice is subject to the marketing of agricultural products act of 1996. The statutory measure compels importers, exporters, packers, and processors (not excluding people who act in their capacities) of dried fruits to register with the Dried Fruit Technical Services (DFTS). It seeks to ensure the availability of market information to all stakeholders to ensure knowledge-based decisions. The measure applies to apply to all dried deciduous fruit.

The proclamation designates the Cape Floral Region Protected Areas as World Heritage Sites. The description of the sites, geographical locations, and description of boundaries are outlined.

The notice substitutes obsolete definitions, for textual correctness and to ensure legal certainty.

This is an old document that discusses agricultural production, marketing, sustainable utilization of natural resources, financing and institutional infrastructure in South Africa. The Act amends the deeds registries act of 1937, the KwaZulu land affairs act of 1992, the land and assistance act of 1993, and the land rights act of 1994. It provides for the deeds registries regulations board, to make regulations regarding how the payment of the fees of office may be enforced.
