This amends the environmental impact assessment regulations of 2014; subject to the national environmental management act of 1998. The amendments relate to the appointment of environmental assessment practitioners, competent authorities’ right of access to information, and submission and consideration of an environmental impact assessment report, among others.

This policy allows the National Department of Agriculture to provide resources to potential trainees in the agricultural field. It also outlines principles for international training programmes,

“The minister, In terms of section 22(1) of the Environment Conservation Act, 1989, designates the competent authority, as defined in section 1 of the said Act (as amended by Proclamation R43 of 8 August 1996), in each province as an authority which may issue a written authorisation to undertake or cause to undertake identified activities specified by the government.

The regulations attempt to coordinate the processes in section 24M (3) of the national environmental management act of 1988, as it relates to the lodging and processing of an application for exemption.

The bush control scheme is established to prevent the invasion of certain plants, maintain the production potential of lands, and regulate the payment of subsidies out of funds set aside by Parliament for this scheme. The scheme applies to lands specified in the act that has been invaded by the specified plant species.

An amendment to the expropriation act of 1975 which refines certain sections and expressions. It also grants expropriation powers to ministers responsible for land and works affairs.

The act provides for the management and preservation of the national biodiversities in South Africa. The act will operate within the framework of the national environmental management act of 1998. Among others, it guides the protection of endangered species and ecosystems, the sustainable use of resources, and the fair sharing of benefits accruable from indigenous biological resources. It also provides for the establishment of a national biodiversity institute.

The statutory measure applies to milk. It provides a statutory mechanism for dairy producers to keep records and report returns to the administrator of the measure – the milk producers organization. It sees registration as a means to ensure the availability of information to all players in the industry, to enable them to make informed decisions. The records and returns to be kept are listed out.

Land Redistribution for Agricultural Development is designed to provide grants to black South African citizens to access land specifically for agricultural purposes. The strategic objectives of the sub-programme include: contributing to the redistribution of 30 % of the country’s agricultural land over 15 years, improving nutrition and incomes of the rural poor who want to farm on any scale, de-congesting overcrowded former homeland areas; and expanding opportunities for women and young people who stay in rural areas.

The regulations are subject to the fertilizers, farm needs, agricultural remedies, and stock remedies act of 1947. The amendment takes the form of additions, substitutions, and definitions regarding animal feed registration, labelling of animal feed, and analysis, among others.

Based on the animal diseases act of 1964, the minister imposes tariffs for the issue of permits for the importation of animals and animal products. It is clearly stated that tariffs shall be payable by people who import or contemplate importing animals and animal products into South Africa.

As it relates to the COVID-19 pandemic, the measures moves to ensure fair processes of waste management services during the lockdown period.

The amendment deletes the names of local authorities in Annexure C of the original document.

These Regulations impose a levy on day-old female parent broiler chickens and eggs for purposes of funding: efforts to enhance empowerment and development of black emerging poultry producers; consumer protection measures; and research and development.

The regulations are made in terms of the foodstuffs, cosmetics, and disinfectants act of 1972. They do not apply to veterinary medicines or stock remedies where public health concerns might arise from usage.

This serves as an amendment of the list of activities and competent authorities identified in Terms of sections 24(2) and 24d of the national environmental management act of 1998. This is to ensure clarity about activities that should undergo relevant assessment processes.

The regulations contain guidelines for issuing and usage of ID cards by environmental management inspectors, as well as contents of ID cards.

These regulations are premised on the foodstuffs, cosmetics, and disinfectants act of 1972. Powers of inspectors include inspection, sampling, seizure and detention of food. The regulations guide inspectors and analysts as they carry out their duties.

This Act makes provision for the calculation and collection of income tax in South Africa and related matters. It consolidates the law relating to the taxation of incomes and donations.

These Regulations bans the sale of the fresh fruit produced in or imported into South Africa and placed on the domestic market that does not meet quality standards as prescribed by these Regulations. It also spells out imported fresh fruits that may be exempted from the provisions of the regulations.
